bisque firing

we offer firing services for makers who have the space to make their own pieces but may not have easy access to a kiln. our bisque firing temperature is 955C. Bisque firing costs are calculated as such:

• l x w x h (in cubic inches) x 0.7
• closed forms are subject to additional drying time
• we do not fire paper clay, or clay that has organic or synthetic materials trapped within the clay that will “burn off” in the kiln (e.g. crochet pieces dipped in slip, newspaper supports inside a hollow form)

we will notify you when your pieces are ready for pickup. typically pieces can be picked up 1-2 weeks after drop-off depending on availability of kiln space, drying time, and firing schedule.

glaze firing

we offer glaze firing services for makers who want to bring their fully glazed pieces in for firing. our glaze firing temperature is 1222c with a one hour controlled cooldown. glaze firing costs are calculated as such:

• l x w x h (in cubic inches) x 1
• please let us know in advance if any glazes are particularly runny so that we can prepare accordingly. any damages will result in extra charges to cover the cost of said damages
• we do not glaze fire fully closed forms
• we do not once fire pieces. all pieces must be bisque fired before glaze firing

delays may occur if pieces are not properly cleaned on the bottom to prevent sticking to the kiln shelf. firing is subject to available space within the kiln. pieces that need priority should be noted when the pieces are brought to the studio. though we cannot guarantee firing times, we will try our best to accommodate your deadline.

Terms and conditions

we do not offer specialty temperatures/kiln firings including lustre firings. all pieces taken in for firing will follow the temperature and schedule that is typically used during our studio firings. if you would like to book out a full kiln please contact us directly through WhatsApp +852 6777 5709.

we are not liable for the damage of any work stored at our studio or fired in our kilns including but not limited to glaze defects, cracking, explosions, clay defects, etc.

any damage to the kiln, kiln shelves, others’ works, or studio due to the firing of your work will result in a charge for replacement and/or repair.
